An Interview with Pepper Kat about Spicy Spectrum
When it comes to the adult entertainment industry, few creators bring the same level of depth, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit as Pepper Kat. A multi-faceted powerhouse, Pepper has built a career that seamlessly blends artistry, intimacy, and business acumen. From her work in phone sex, camming, and custom content creation to running her own fantasy fulfillment brand, Design Your Dreamgirl™, she isn’t just a performer — she’s an innovator.
In our conversation, we dive into Pepper’s journey from mainstream journalism to becoming a recognised figure in the adult industry, the inspiration behind her thought-provoking podcast, Spicy Spectrum, and how she’s breaking down misconceptions while redefining the space on her own terms. Whether you’re intrigued by the psychology behind adult entertainment, the art of fantasy fulfillment, or just want to hear how someone who turned a 9-to-5 into a thriving, unconventional career — you'll enjoy my conversation with her.
My Kind Of Weird: Hey Pepper Kat, thanks for taking the time to speak with me today. You’re an outstanding model—but could you tell my readers about what you do in the Adult Entertainment Industry?
Pepper Kat: Absolutely! I’m a multi-faceted creator in the adult entertainment industry, and I’ve built my career around a mix of phone sex, camming, clip creation, and immersive, custom experiences. I operate across multiple platforms, but I also run my own business, Design Your Dreamgirl, which is all about fantasy fulfillment. Unlike mainstream sites that restrict creativity, my brand lets me craft unique, tailored experiences for my clients—whether through messaging, roleplay, or custom video content.
On top of that, I host my own podcast, Spicy Spectrum, where I dive into conversations about sexuality, psychology, and human connection. My background is actually in journalism and media—I was a News Producer before transitioning into adult content creation. I also have a background in psychology, which plays a huge role in how I connect with my audience. I’m really passionate about breaking stereotypes, normalizing desires, and helping people embrace their sexuality in a judgment-free way.
My Kind Of Weird: You’re pretty candid about working a 9-5 job and moving into spicy content creation. What prompted the change, and what sort of challenges arose as you made such an incredible shift in your life?
Pepper Kat: It was definitely a huge shift! I spent years in mainstream media, working as a news producer for morning, evening, and lifestyle segments. I loved storytelling and the creative side of the job, but there was always this frustration with limitations—both creatively and financially. I wanted more freedom, flexibility, and control over my own career.

The biggest challenge was unlearning the traditional mindset that a 9-5 job equals success. There’s a level of societal conditioning that makes you feel like stepping outside of that structure is a risk—but once I took the leap, I realized I was actually stepping into something even more stable and rewarding. I wasn’t just making content; I was building a business, a brand, and a loyal audience.
Another challenge was navigating the stigma around adult work. People have misconceptions about what we do, assuming it’s just about selling explicit content. In reality, this industry is about psychology, marketing, branding, and deep human connection. Once I started embracing that and treating my work like the multi-layered business it is, everything fell into place.
My Kind Of Weird: Let’s talk about your podcast, Spicy Spectrum. I love how you explore sexual health and wellbeing. What was your “epiphany” moment when you decided to start it?
Pepper Kat: The idea for Spicy Spectrum came from wanting to show a different side of myself—beyond just the visual aspect of adult content. I’ve always loved deep conversations, exploring psychology, and breaking down taboos, and I felt like there was a gap in the way these topics were being discussed.
I also made it audio-only on purpose. So much of adult content is visual, but I wanted to create something where listeners were forced to engage with the ideas, rather than just the aesthetics. It’s a different kind of intimacy—where the focus is on listening, learning, and engaging with sexuality in a thoughtful way.
Each segment of my podcast serves a purpose:
“Pepper’s Perspectives” (Sundays) – My personal deep dives into industry topics, my experiences, and things I find fascinating.
“Friday Features” (Fridays) – Interviews with other adult content creators, exploring their unique niches, careers, and insights.
“Spicy Specials” (Wednesdays) – Conversations with experts in psychology, sexuality, and human relationships.
No matter what someone is looking for, they’ll find an episode that speaks to them.

My Kind Of Weird: Your podcast was nominated for an AVN Award! What was that like? Did you attend the award show?
Pepper Kat: The AVNs are basically the Oscars of adult entertainment, so to have Spicy Spectrum recognized was such an incredible honor. It validated that what I’m doing matters—that people are craving these kinds of conversations.
I did attend the awards in Las Vegas, and the whole experience was incredible. The energy, the networking, and being surrounded by so many talented creators made it an unforgettable moment. It was also a chance to connect with fans, which is always amazing!
My Kind Of Weird: How would you best describe your podcast, and how would you convince someone who has never listened before to subscribe?
Pepper Kat: If you want a podcast that’s a blend of sexy, smart, and thought-provoking, Spicy Spectrum is for you. Curious about kinks and fetishes? Check out Friday Features, where I interview adult creators about their wildest experiences.
Want an inside look into the industry? Listen to Pepper’s Perspectives, where I share my personal insights. Love intellectual discussions on sexuauality, relationships, and psychology? Tune into Spicy Specials, featuring expert guests.
It’s not just a podcast about sex — it’s a podcast about human nature, connection, and exploring what makes us tick.
My Kind Of Weird: Design Your Dreamgirl is unique. How is it different from a regular camgirl gig?
Pepper Kat: Most cam sites are limited and it's not certain you will be on there forever. Design Your Dreamgirl is MY platform. I set the rules, I create the experiences, and I tailor it specifically to what my clients want.
It’s not just about watching me on cam—it’s about curating an experience that’s deeply personal, immersive, and fulfilling. Whether through roleplay, messaging, or custom videos, my clients aren’t just passive viewers; they’re active participants in a world we create together.
My Kind Of Weird: What inspired you to move into adult entertainment? Was there a performer who influenced you?
Pepper Kat: I wouldn’t say there was one performer who inspired me, but my background in TV and entertainment definitely shaped my approach. My content is very cinematic — especially my Dreamgirl Chronicles series, which is a fully produced, scripted solo series with storylines, music, and high production value.
I love the creativity and storytelling aspect of adult entertainment, and I think that’s what sets my work apart. It’s not just about being on camera—it’s about building an experience.
My Kind Of Weird: Where can my readers find you online?
Pepper Kat: You can find me at Design Your Dreamgirl — that’s my main hub where you can connect with me across platforms. And of course, check out Spicy Spectrum or on any podcast platform (Apple, Spotify, iHeartRadio, etc.).
