About David Taylor II
David Taylor II is an author, songwriter, producer, educator, playwright, and poet. He writes sci fi, fantasy, children’s literature, and comic books. He has won Black Music Theater Alliance awards, worked with the James Taylor singers, the legendary Dave Koz, and the incredible Cuba Gooding Sr.
He’s launching his new comic, 'The Z-Normals' (which asks 'what if you could turn pain into powers?').
He created his famous series 'My Alphabet Is…' where multiple creative new ways are used to teach beginning readers their ABCs. His groundbreaking book 'Diary of a Smart Black Kid: Sixth Grade' featuring a rare 12-year-old malae black protagonist is being used in classrooms in multiple schools as a discussion tool.
He has launched his first comic series entitled 'The Nephilim Wars', a part of the larger story world of The Realm.
He has recently released a novella entitled 'Too Many Wings', following up his Amazon best-selling, award winning, first full-length novel, 'Lucifer: Soldiers, Serpents and Sin' Book 1 which went to number one in three countries. He is the founder of Nucleus Comics, an independent comics company dedicated to creating all-new characters.
He was born and raised in Evanston, IL, first city north in Chicago’s north shore. He is the proud father of two and loves a good slice of pizza with a glass of lemonade.
