HED P.E. are geared up to obliterate Australian shores once again:
And for the first time since 2018, they’re hitting up New Zealand too—thanks to the crew at October Presents.
HED P.E. has been a mainstay in the rock and metal landscape for decades, blending genres with a reckless abandon that only they can. Dubbed "G-Punk," their sound is a volatile cocktail of rock, punk, rasta, gangsta rap, and soul. If you haven’t seen them live, expect bone-crushing riffs, thick grooves, and a funk-soaked rhythm section—all wrapped up in frontman Jahred Gomes’ iconic flow, melody, and lyrical attack.
While some bands might lean back and ride the nostalgia wave after thirty years, HED P.E. isn’t slowing down for anyone. Their latest release, Detox, dropped in December 2023, marking their fifteenth studio album—and it’s anything but a look back. This record is a ruthless return to the G-Punk roots that fans have been craving.
Talking about Detox, Gomes says:
“Detox is a spiritual journey, a cycle from being enslaved by chemicals to reaching self-freedom—and then, ironically, falling back again. It’s personal, raw, and unfiltered. I’ve struggled with addiction my whole life, so this is me being brutally honest. I touch on everything—sex, drugs, and that hardcore lifestyle. The rap influence is heavier, the music is heavier, and the album dives into darker themes. We’re giving fans exactly what they want, without losing our edge.”
On this much-hyped tour, HED P.E. is ready to unleash hell, shredding through Australia and New Zealand with a stop in every major capital city. Buckle up—it’s going to be an unforgettable assault on the senses.
