About In the Mouth of Madness
In the Mouth of Madness is part of John Carpenter's apocalypse trio of movies. It's about a famous novelist, Sutter Cane, who goes missing and the freelance insurance investigator, John Trent, who's hired by Cane's publisher to investigate him.
As John Trent (played by Sam Neill) gets closer to Kane, he starts down a Lovecraftian nightmare filled with cosmic monsters and bizarre events that make him question his very reality. Pretty soon, he ends up in an insane asylum and breaks out to realise that Sutter Cane's new book has been released and its brought with it the end of the world.
