New Comic Book Series - Crocodile Black - from BOOM! Studios
BOOM! Studios have given me a first look at Issue #1 of Crocodile Black. Pitched as a pandemic era crime thriller, Crocodile Black #1 is the premiere issue in this brand new series from Eisner-nominated writer Phillip Kennedy Johnson (Incredible Hulk), artist SOM (Brigands), colorist Patricio Delpeche and letterer Becca Carey.
Crocodile Black #1 asks us 'what makes someone turn to crime in a modern, pandemic-riddled dystopia?'
During the height of the 2020 COVID-19 Pandemic, Danny - a seemingly mundane young man lost in escapism with a spiraling lack of control over his life - sees something during a delivery job that will change him forever. This event will turn his life as dark as the black, crocodile-skin boots he can’t take his eyes off of…
Sounds like the right kind of dark modern neo-noir crime filled pandemic thriller story the doctor ordered.
Crocodile #1 features a main cover by Andrea Sorrentino (Gideon Falls) and variant cover by Christian Ward (Invisible Kingdom).
